I have to say, it's a pity the letters "o" and "i" are so close on a QWERTY keyboard, otherwise this could have been the most interesting thread in the history of the forum.

It reminds me of the old vaudeville gag about the guy who gets the telegram saying his Father shot himself, and was devastated until he realised that the telegraph operator had made the made mistake as Davor!

(Not funny anymore, if it ever was)

Davor, typos are part of the fun. If JJ doesn't jump on this question and answer it beautifully in less than a minute, I'll stand naked, but for my Sub, in the town square.

It's killing me this waiting. Especially when I have the spec sheets up on my screen. Alas, no. To steal the thunder is to tempt the storm.

The SD is just taller than the Submariner (by 1.65mm) with it's deeper case back accounting for most of the difference.

The face on the SD is actually 0.65mm less in diameter, but that's not easily detected due to it having a thicker crystal.

Mike has posted a chart in the past that showed the various dimensions of the SS Rolex models...

Incidentally, the Dweller weighs in a good 12 grams over the Submariner as well.

Well I have both, and on the wrist I feel very very little difference if wearing a shirt with cuffs or not.And I am sure the difference height of less that 2mm is not going to make any difference at all. And the extra 12 grams weight well you dont have to be built like Arnold Schwarzenegger to carry it around.

SD is good to 4000 feet vs 1000 feet Sub.
SD crystal is 2mm thick vs 1 mm for Sub.
