Some things are classic, and there is no way to improve on them. The SD is one such watch IMO. Therefore, looking into my crystal ball, I see JJ keeping this SD in his collection and maybe adding the new GMT sometime in the not-too-distant future. JJ? Larry.

No JJ, you had to fork out $4,100 in total.

I am really glad you have again found happiness, with respect to both work as well as watches.

Hey JJ,
how about some pics of those "fine ladies" over at your AD's?
They could be modeling your SD or TT Sub and wearing skimpy attire.

Oh, and congrats on your new SD.
Seems the clock is ticking on how long you keep this one mate.

Wearer comfort wise, I find absolutely no difference. BOTH fit me perfectly straight out of the box.

Weight wise too, both are virtually the same weights....

TT Blue Sub = 150 grams

Sea-Dweller = 148 grams

That is a great looking watch, JJ. Congratulations.

I am almost on the verge of closing the deal on a 1 mo old TT Blue Sub.
I am gonna pay $5750. That is the best I could get it for in the US.

Thanks, Venkat. That's a fabulous price for a one month old Blue Sub. I paid $5900 brand new for mine.

Is yours a Z-series?

Good luck with the new watch - JJ

I really want a TT Blue Sub. One AD told me that Rolex will not allow them to discount a "sports model" under any circumstances. A couple others have reluctantly offered me 5%. Anybody heard of this Rolex rule?

That's a load of , KV. Any AD can give you a discount....you've got to know how to "extract" it out of him!!

You guys are my Mentors! I will not be denied a discount!!!!!!! By the way it was Ben Bridge who firmy refused to discount the Blue Sub. The manager there saw my LV and asked where I got it and then asked if he could show it to his staff? They acted like I had a moon rock or something and passed it around oooohing and ahhhing.

The Dude knew I was serious about getting the Blue Sub and quite frankly I was ready to buy. He tried to BS me with his efforts to get me a SS Daytona and made a "few quick calls" I waited while he did so. He came back with a dissapointed "I tried" look on his face and shook my hand twice emploring me to give him my business. No discount. BS me. No sale.

I will say this about Ben Bridge though. They tack on an additional in house year warranty on thier Rolex. So you get a 3 year warranty. They have in house techs to service your watch so it does not have to go to the RSC. The other AD I bought two Rolex from does not ofer this.

That extra year is just a sales pitch. With a Rolex, that additional year hardly matters. I would still prefer the massive discounts I get and save quite a few $$.

Hey JJ,

After you have a little time to let the SD experience sink in, how about a detailed comparison of the SD vs SS Sub
