You wanted the Hulk because you really like it or because the internet community gives you the idea that the Hulk is more popular, better investment etc. Personally, for a sub, I prefer the plain old timeless black is SS. The Hulk is nice but I find it a little flashy.

No problem, go for it. I can definitely see the Sub becoming a bit on the boring side.

I would not; long term, the 114060 is more timeless. I think I would tire of the green sooner. If you want color and something more unusual, I'd go blue. Just my opinion.

It appears you are NOT ready to do the switch if you are asking for our opinions. I have the SubC that I absolutely love and wear daily. (I don't have a collection or a rotation.) My next purchase is going to be the ceramic LV for sure. Save up for the LV, the black sub should stay in your collection, you wont regret keeping it.. Good Luck

You should ultimately get what you like, but if the 114060 is your first Rolex I would suggest you think hard about it. The forum is rife with posts from those who regretted selling their first. Many don't though, but something to consider. I own the same watch and almost did the same thing. I chose to save up and wait to make an addition and now am so glad I did. You own the modern incarnation of the watch that started the sports watch genre. It is an icon in its own right. Are you sure?

Not my first, more like my 20th :D

I posted this to collect some opinions from others that may have done similar moves and I have limited first hand experience with the LV. These are just watches and I now need to decide if I'm bored enough to trade the SubC for something different. Thanks, everyone!

I have been extremely happy since I made the switch! Would say to do it, especially if you have another black or neutral (white or silver) faced watch in your collection.

I slept on it a few nights and decided to stay with my 114060. I think I will eventually get the LV, but my SubC has seen some good times and bad with me. I love the simplicity of its symmetrical dial and it always gets complicated when trading/selling more than one watch to get a new one. I will probably get fickle in the future, but for now I will stay happy with my SubC. Thanks again for an informative thread that helped.

No, not the green one, not the best color to wear, or for anything. Maybe get the black with date or stay with yours. Maybe a bluesy?

Not for me. I went from hulk to the subc and it wears alot easier imo. Love the green dial but just can't get passed the flat green bezel.

This is the right move, both is really the only solution if you've been bitten by the green bug. I decided to pick up the LVc first since I have a SD4000 to fill that void without the 114060 for now.....but man.....it is a looker for sure and is much more versatile than people give credit for. Enjoy the sub without date, as you said the symmetry/balanced dial is pure class.
