New GMT Master II with Pepsi bezel

May very well be true also. Question is how many BLNR owners own it cause it's the only SS bi-color bezel available since the Pepsi & Coke and more so how many would flip it for a new SS Coke. I can see it swing both ways.

I'm still going to grab a BLNR if I can, I don't think we will see any new GMT anytime soon. All just a speculation. But personally if a SS Coke comes out, I would flip my BLNR for one without a doubt. I mean black/blue is no match for black/red, especially if the GMT hand is red also.

Interesting point - a SS Coke would certainly burst the Batman bubble as the Batman is so popular largely because its the only bi-colour GMT available is SS. But I don't think either a SS Coke or Pepsi will happen, unfortunately - if Rolex wanted a SS Coke they would have done it already instead of the non-traditional Batman. If it happens it will be in white gold.

I just hope they bring out a GMT II SS Coke first before they do so.

I disagree with this speculation. Not only do the blue and black look fantastic together, but they make sense for a travel watch. I don't set my hour hand on layovers in different time zones. Like most pilots with GMTS, I spin the bezel so local time is read off the bezel via the GMT hand. That's how the watch was intended to be used originally. Blue for day and black for night makes for easy mental orientation when waking up in yet another hotel room in yet another time zone. Unless one has done long haul flying or really travels a lot long distance and with short t stays, one can never appreciate how helpful that bezel can be when waking up. The proof that Rolex got it right is evidenced by the fact they fly off the shelves.
A Pepsi or Coke version will sell but it won't cause BLNR sales to plummet in my opinion.

I appreciate your view on this but please read full thread as I've already addressed this in another post / response :).

Life’s too short to keep waiting for a new Coke release in SS. I’ve given up and moved on.

Not true. There is NO comparison between white gold and steel.

I agree but still I'd be a bit miffed if I'd just bought one...i think Pepsi now needs to be reserved for the WG..

But a Coke - well that's very plausible. But that will slightly lower the 5 digit prices and more than likely cause the BLNR prices to plummet.

If it comes true, I will be first in line for a SS Ceramic Coke.

White dial in SS.

BLNR prices will hold firm, no popular Rolex will be allowed to fall by resellers as they make the market now more so than slight variances in supply/demand, and they won't hurt themselves, it will just raise the price of the SS CokeC even more, it will be like the new and old Daytona market.

I could see them doing a coke bezel in steel. That would be very cool if they did.

If a coke came out down the road, which I think it will when sales of the Batman start to drop off, I would simply have to get money to buy one. I would still keep the Batman. have a 16710 right now which is my beauty since 1998 bought new, and I will never sell that one either.

It would kill the WG if it came out on SS so it does not make much sense.
