Future Value: 18239 WG or 116234 SS?

Hello all.

I'm interested in opinions regarding which watch, 18239 WG or 116234 SS will hold value better over time?

Assume same condition and scope of delivery for each watch, and present market prices: 18239 ~$11,500, 116234 ~$5600.

Thoughts?

If you're talking future value as relates to the watch's original MSRP, I think the DJ.

If you're talking future value as relates to what you paid for it today, I think both are going to be about the same.

Very good point.

I am primarily interested in future value as it relates to price paid today.

My hunch is the 18239 may hold value better because it has already taken a larger depreciation hit, and gold may help it hold value or appreciate. But...it's only a hunch, and I don't have a pulse on these values over time.
