Got my 114060 (also my first Rolex) this past August. It was a long time coming... started saving for it when I was in my mid-thirties. Had enough money by my early forties but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger until the mortgage was paid off, so I waited a couple more years.

My wife and 2 daughters were with me when I got it from the Rolex boutique. They were so happy for me that as soon as we walked out of the boutique, all 3 of them gave me a huge hug! I'll never forget that day.

Another Submariner ... Dive, Dive, Dive!

I’m in J0oftheworld’s situation, it’ll be here Monday or Tuesday. Or Wednesday.
Next week time may pass very very slowly ...
Mine is a brand new 114060. I hear there is up to a year’s delay ... I was lucky to have secured this one, got it from WatchMaster, unworn, 2017, stickers. Other dealers said there was a waiting list of several months. Rolex has managed to increase demand (well done) without managing a corresponding increase in supply (not so well done). So I have recently seen 5 year old subs going for new prices and a few nearly new ones going for £1000 over the list price!
I CANNOT WAIT!!

Congratulations! That’s great to hear, and positively heart warming!

Member here...

Just sold a Cartier to make way for my next Rolex - was thinking about a Smurf, but might be redundant considering I have a 116610ln.

AD says I'm on deck for a Daytona C, so if I don't like that, can prob flip and be close to used Smurf money right there.

I'm a bit surprised by the amount of no-date Subs posted. Guess some people don't miss the Date complication. I always get annoyed when I don't have it, even doing trivial stuff like checking expiry dates of food in the fridge, looking at the watch and there's no date to compare. :P

Plus the Rolex cyclops is super iconic... maybe not visually pretty to everyone, but definitely a iconic.

It's cheaper....then, with it being cheaper, people convince themselves that it's nicer or "cleaner " ....they start saying things like "more refined, sleeker" and jazz like that...I'll tell you that my date on my sub is correct only ONCE per month...I never use it, but I couldn't love a no date, no way.
