Congrats JJ! I'm starting to think of a trade for my new Sub to a SD. This one isn't "smilin" at me like I thought it would. Good idea filling out the papers in pencil too!

JJ, congrats on the watch.

More importantly congrats on getting yourself out of the financial bind and getting a job.

Are you thinking the SD will be a keeper? I know you have been there before so you know what it (the SD) is about.

Rolex now rules that it is compulsory for all ADs to fill in the name of the buyer...otherwise, the warranty is not valid.

Wow, I'm speechless. Just a few weeks ago I was actively trying to help JJ sell his SS Sub Date because he was "down and out". Now he's already purchased another watch!!?????

I guess I'm just a little naive. I guess my definition of "down and out" differs a little.

LOL! Hi Doc,

Yes, I was down and out, but more mentally than financially.

I have managed to find a good part-time job and also happened to have good funds from my last week's sale of the Sub.....so when a great offer like $4100 for a brand new, Z-series SD comes along, I guess you just have to grab it, right?

Big congrats JJ - it's always nice to bag a spanking new Rolex but esp when you get it for a cracking price!
Glad to hear your back working (part-time at least ) - I hope this is the start of a run of good luck for you

Holy Dooly JJ, $4100 NZ Dollars for an SD? Can I ask you to do me a favour; next time he rings you with a deal like that, and you're not up for it, can you ask him to ring me? That's ridiculous! Was he drunk?

I calculate $3258 USD which is still 40% off retail. That is an unbelievable price. I think the $4100 is USD.

What say you JJ? Nice watch BTW!!

Don't know where you got your exchange rate from, but http://www.xe.com/ucc/ has today's exchange rate at US$ 1 = NZ$ 1.44; that makes NZ$ 4100 = US$ 2847.

In any case, looks like the price is US$ 4100 which is about right for a 15% AD discount at early 2006 stock Z series Sea-Dwellers.

Remember JJ babies his watches. He might be able to just borrow this one for free for a year and sell it for what he paid for it and given the way he treats a watch, it would be a bargain then.

I think JJ bought it for $4100 USD? Since he mentioned he had to cough up an extra $100 from the subby sale.

If it is indeed NZ $, I'd take two!!!
