Check out the sellers here for the watch you want and then search their reviews in Who's who, some have pages and pages so you can be assured you will get a real watch.

You're in the east bay. Try these guys:
https://www.hqmilton.com/ They sell online and have a store in the mission. |

I visited a small ad in a nearby state that beat the grey market prices for a new explorer 1 and mailed to me. I like the clarity of warranty and got a two year extended from my credit card.

Go AD for your first, some models are just as good of a deal at AD as grey market. In fact, here in NY I can get a green sub (116610lv) for less than grey market prices.

Go to AD and try on every model you think you like. When you narrow it down look on trf classified section and compare prices.

What @nursejm said, I agree that those two guys are about the only online sources that I'd trust.
As for your other question, how much you'd save really depends on which model watch you want. If it's not something in high demand, you can expect at least 10% off, plus you are saving a whole bunch in sales tax by buying out of state. But always check with your local dealer. You should buy local when you can. Some of them will work with you and ship the box (or a box) out of state so that you can save on sales tax. That's a big deal in Kalifornia.

If you are going to buy online, please invest the time and do some research, become knowledgeable, it will help you make the right decision on both the watch and the seller.
If you don't have the time to invest in learning, play it safe and buy from a Rolex Authorised Dealer. Yes, likely to pay a little more (depending on model), but zero chance of mistakes.

If you want to buy vintage I'd say look for a seller on here with excellent ratings, do your due diligence and then more due diligence. Otherwise for a modern piece go to and AD.

I'll add Tony Geha too (justrolexes) on the sale forum. Many watches from him and every time was flawless. He even drove to my town to deliver and he's in California I'm not

My suggestion would be to go to an AD first to see the watches in real life. Once you see and try on ones you like you might have better knowledge of WHICH watch you would like. After this I would look on online reviews for better understanding of where and where not to buy from.

Thanks.
I know exact watch I want already. It's actually for my mom. Why don't AD's ship? Is it risky to have it shipped from AD? If I find an AD willing to ship, are there any chances I may take I need to be careful of? |

It is your first one.. Buy from an AD. You will be able to easily sell it if you change opinion.

Hi again,
Do strings with price tag and serial number matter in terms of authenticity? I ask because one dealer I walked in to had green/gold strings attached to the watch and other dealer where picture were sent to me had just gray strings. They are both listed as an AD from Rolex web but just want to be extra cautious as it's my first purchase. I assume strings with serial and price on it is attached from Rolex and not dealer so I'm bit curious to why the difference. Thanks again! |

If they are listed on Rolex website as an AD, then you have nothing to worry about, especially strings!!!

ADs will ship. I bought my first Rolex at Tourneau in Manhattan (53 & Lex) and they shipped it to me in California (the only way to avoid sales tax). Just ask. They'll be happy to help you out! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Strongly recommend checking out David SW. He's a long time trusted seller here.
Here is his website: https://davidsw.com/ He is very reachable via email. If he does not have what you are looking for, he may be able to source it for you. Good luck! |

I would advise to buy a GMT BLNR without VAT as you are flying internationally out of the UK. :-) |

If you want a bottle of water with your watch purchase, go to an AD. If you want to save money, go to a trusted seller here on TRF. |

My SkyD was from an AD and approximately $6K less than it's being sold by the Trusted Sellers. Oh and I got a water as well.

I've bought 2 from him and it's always a gratifying experience, if he does not have it, he will find it for you. |

All of the trusted sellers on here are wonderful. I've purchased something from most of them. I usually just go with who has what I want at that time.
