A rolex is not on the same level as a Patek - make the switch

Nautilus? Yes please. Aquanaut - I'd keep the SKD for sure.

The Aquanaut brings visions of a 70 yr old retiree trying to be the 35 yr old he wished to be in the eighties. Bald on top with a ponytail, silver and turquoise rings on every finger, wearing jorts, outdated white Nike from 1989, and driving a 1983 yellow Corvette.

On almost any other model, I would say keep the Rolex. But the Patek wins by great measure over the Sky-Dweller IMO.

I'd keep the SkyD and enjoy while you save some more for a 5164 Travel Time if you are going to switch to an Aqua.

Less of these comments which lower the tone. Keep things civil.

The blue-dialed SkyD beats the Aquanaut IMHO! Now a 5711 or 5712...hmmm???

I'd go for the SkyD. Patek is a great brand, but the 5167 feels like its only purpose is to be an affordable Patek.

Obviously it's a decision of personal preference. If I was in your shoes, I would enjoy a new model in the Sky Dweller for a few months during its honeymoon and re-evaluate the Aquanaut trade later. You have a highly sought after bird in hand with plenty of Aquanauts birds in the bush to choose from later.

I understand Patek Philippe position as horological grandfather. But luckily so many people near me wear Patek Philippes that i have seen over the years how Patek starts to wear them.

They seem to safetransport Patek Philippe on their wrists. I think watch should serve the one who wears it not other way around.

Read Patek Philippe manuals, they are full of warnings about breaking the watch in numerous ways.

I would want the aquanaut, but depends what else you own.

I think it would be a good trade $ wise at least.

I am not a fan of the Skydweller, I think it too bulky and clunky. But that's just me. I recently got a new 5711 but after a month sold it and bought a Daytona. Patek do feel more delicate , but they also feel 'special.'
My vote, Rolex.

I'd stay put. Like Neil said, a 5164 might tempt me but adding would be better than trading.

Meh on the Aquanaut. Why are you considering the swap? There must be something you don't like about the SkyD. It's too big probably? Aquanaut wears much slimmer than the SkyD.

Aquanaut. Then ditch the bracelet unless you want to trash the delicious Patek level of finishing!

I think that's a bad trade. As others have said sell your SkyD and buy a new Aquanaut if that's what you really desire. But I'd keep the SkyD

SkyD for me unless if you have to have a Patek and can't afford the more expensive models then go for Aquanaut. Don't mean to offend the Aquanaut owners but I'd take a SubC over an Aquanaut any day now even if they were at the same price point

The SD is a kind of grail for me, The Patek is nice but, other than the name, it just doesn’t do it for me. I think you’d miss the functionality fo the Rolex.
