Sorry , but I find the Aquanaut the ugly stepchild of the Nautilus and can't fathom anyone picking it over the SS SkyD.

I would keep the PP. The SS SkyDs look too much like DJ2.

The Aquanaut does nothing for me at all. I'd keep the SkyD.
If it was a Nautilus that would be a different story. |

Consider that if you are seriously entertaining a trade for the Sky D then likely it doesn't mean that much to you, certainly not a grail. Really better to work on getting the grail you want then holding on to a watch because the committee say to.

I would keep your blue beauty. It's an annual calendar, and more going on than the Patek imo.

Hard one....if it was the 5164 or 5711 then it would have been no Brainer but for the 5167 it is much tougher call.
I think the blue beauty wins this time by a very tiny margin |

I didn't think that there was that much of a difference. If you like the Nautilus better I'd suggest you do not settle for something else. You won't be happy in the long run and it'll be even more expensive to fix that mistake. Save up for what you truly desire. Good luck on the search - it's a big part of the fun, IMO. |

For a nautilus, why not. But for an aquanaut, I'd keep the sky. It's a beauty...

Keep the SkyDweller. The PP is nice but I think it's expensive for a watch on rubber and it's 4 years old. You have the most advanced complication from Rolex inside a tank of a SS watch with a beautiful dial.
Nautilus is a different story. And a different price point. |

As for the rest of your description, not in a million years. I just don't see anything pretentious about the Aquanaut and since it's not likely to be recognized by anyone outside the WIS community, I don't know why a retiree seeking the glory of his youth would choose such a watch. It would seem to me that a Sky Dweller would be a more likely choice than an Aquanaut.
