Swap Submariner links for GMT links?

Is it compatible to swap out links from a Submariner oyster bracelet stamped 93150 for old stretched out links in a GMT Master II bracelet stamped 78790A (oysterlock)? Both watches have lug holes, and 501B end links. I will leave the end links in place as they are stamped with the bracelet code. I don't want to put the Submariner end links on the GMT if that makes sense. Just looking to freshen up an older bracelet. Thank you for the feedback.
