There's usually a few good Kings on ebay, mostly in Japan, but quite a few junkers, too. Let me know if you ever need a second opinion.

Got this KingSeiko in today. The strap they sent it on is trash, so I’ll remedy that soon but it’s keeping good time and looks great. Very happy.

*** The Vintage Seiko Photo Gallery***

So big week for me and my vintage Seiko collection. I've been looking to source a original bracelet for my navigator and I failed for about 5 months. Saw a good example on sale on ebay with bracelet and thought I might as well shoot my shot. Asked him if he'd part with just the bracelet and he answered immediately with a pretty fair price so I bought it.

And the newest addition to my collection, a mint 4006-6031

Thanks Adam! I'm really so happy with it. It runs like a champ too. Strong alarm and is keeping surprisingly amazing time for a Seiko of it's age.

My Christmas present from my wife for 2018. My AD had two in his personal collection and was kind enough to sell me one. First vintage model in a number of years but I am liking it.

I know, I really can't believe how mint a watch this old is. There's maybe a few swirls on the clasp and that's it. The coffin link is such a cool style too, don't see anything like it on modern pieces.

According to the Grand Seiko Guy that's matt dark blue, though they're mostly changed to black by now. https://thegrandseikoguy.com/product...iko-4520-7000/

1969 is a great year for GS, though. Quite a few great models from that year.

Blue works!

I REALLY need a high-beat. Considering an Omega f300, with the silky tick-less sweep.

I’m looking to purchase my first Vintage Seiko and I’m considering to start with a King Seiko 4402-8000. I have a couple on watch from Ebay, anything I should consider or look out for? Thoughts on this watch?

Thanks!

KS is a great place to start with vintage seiko; GS quality at half the price or less. As you might know, the 4402-8000 is the date version of the 44-9990, which seems to be a bit more sought-after for some reason. Look for sharp lines on the case edges, no blemishes on the dial, indices or hands, original KS winding crown and a whole (and genuine) caseback medallion. Send me a PM with the ebay links if you'd like a second opinion.
