Casual Calatrava 5196G

Just picked up my first Patek. Mounted it on a casual strap and it completely changes the look (I think for the better). Love the slim understated profile of this piece!

Congrats and looks fantastic. Who makes the strap I’d like to try something similar for my 5196r

Great choice and great strap.

Personally I think that the leather (Shiny plastic looking) straps on the entry level Calatravas is a real weak point in the PP range that needs addressing.

I know most like the old fashioned traditional look, however as you have shown with a little imagination the watch is transformed for the better.

Just look what PP have done with the Aquanaut range with the blue and even orange straps, now obviously that (orange) is most probably a step too far for a gentleman's traditional watch like the Calatrava but there is definitely a lot of room for improvement with their straps, imo.

Tin helmet donned!

Pretty easy to buy and aftermarket strap for a Calatrava. I don't see an issue here.

Yep.

Check out this thread for more ideas. It's a very versatile piece once you switch up the straps.
