What do you think of the Pro Hunter Military Submariner?
Hi guys
Quick question: What do you think of the Pro Hunter MilSub? Basic specs: - based on a brand new 14060M - fixed spring bars (comes with 3 mil-spec straps: black, grey, khaki) - carbon fiber bezel - DLC case (tough as nails, as they say) - this watch is now exactly 9 years old (c. Dec 2009) I found a NOS one in a private sale and was wondering if I should pull the trigger. They’re hard to come by as owners usually don’t resell them. I know the Rolex warranty is void because it’s a mod but these days, every decent watchmaker can service the 3130 movement. Note: These are just stock pics from watchclub.com, not the actual one for sale. Fun trivia: Bill Clinton owns one. Views? Cheers V. |

Didn't think I would say this but that looks awesome. I would go for it at the right price.

Awful.
Not convinced by bastardised design, quality or value retention....never mind “military” pretensions. Lent money against one a while back, was delighted when its owner reclaimed it. Suggest there are much better, proper Rolex on which you can spend your money.

Why do they not just manufacturer their own watch in its own right instead of relying on the Rolex brand?

People on here don’t tend to like modified watches.
But If Rolex launched it with perhaps a Oysterflex strap I think it would be a massive hit. |

I like it . Not as your only Rolex. It has a good look similar to the Tudor Black Bay dark

I'll take just the hand set. If they are what I think they are, I'm surprised they fit.
The whole watch? Nope. |

I have a blacked out Breitling and love it (blacked out from Breitling that is). It is a rare bird, so to speak; the boutique claimed I'd be hard pressed to ever find another one and they were right. |

Besides the hands, I like it. A lot.
The hour hand kills it for me tho.

I like it, but I’d prefer regular spring bars, not fixed....the watch would look good on a black Isofrane rubber strap with black buckle.

Ruined a perfectly good several thousand dollar (and rising) Sub. I don't mind the hands, as a soft mod that any watchmaker can pull, but they've wrecked the case, crown, dial, bezel and probably flogged the bracelet. People should do it to cheap homages if anything. Carbon fiber Milsub dear me.

do they provide warranty on the watch? because obvious it voids the original warranty.
