Again, I don't have an Aquanaut but I think it is a fabulous model! I never thought a watch with a rubber band could be so classy yet casual and versatile!

The best thing for me is that it disappears on your wrist. You hardly even know that your wearing it, that is until you need it, or you wish to stare at it.

Ok, I think I'll dedicate my little poster to Anders, my enabler, whose big, sharp and in-focus photos were the reason I asked my AD to try one on. The rest was instant history.
I hate to use the word perfect so I won't. But I'm tempted... |

Let me see now. From talking with you I think the 5890 would be a nice watch for you. It has a bit more heft, and the case is thicker than the 5711/1A. The bullseye is pretty sweet too. But if your feeling real froggy may I entice you with a 5960P? If I remember correctly you can get that in either a grey or blue dial.

Cool, we have another member.
Can you tell us rubber strap people how you like the SS bracelet?

hmm..i find the bracelet is really comfortable, and isn't too heavy!i find it looks great too, with both polished and brushed surfaces! and the bracelet version is much harder to come by(i think) at ADs over here in singapore! though i must say, all these pics of the aquanaut on rubber is tempting me to get the rubber strap set..though I'm thinking, do you guys think the brown rubber used in the 5167r would actually be a match for the steel 5167?thinking of doing that combo, just to make it a little different

I tried on the 5167r just prior to getting my 5167. I thinks it's a great looking watch, real awesome piece, and I could very easily go for that as well. I do think you might find the rubber is a good combination, at least it works real well for me, and I'm typically a big bracelet fan. However one of the big attractions for me with the rubber is how well the rubber color goes with the dial on the watch. So for me taking the brown rubber strap and placing it on the 5167/1A I don't think would work that well for me. However if you do decide to do it please post a PIC when you get it.

yeah somehow the way the rubber matches the dial with the grooves and all, makes it such a killer combo, even more killer than the bracelet, i have to admit :bang head: if i were to get the brown, i hope my ad would have a brown rubber one in stock for me to try first before i pay for it, as the rubber costs S$340 over here!not cheap for a piece of rubber lol! I've also been looking at leather straps to go with my 5167,though my concern is getting a pp leather strap buckle might be a tad difficult.. |

However I do think I would not want to change back and forth on this too often. I just wouldn't want to risk marking up my watch. Personally I am more than content with the rubber configuration. Besides I do have the 5711, so there really is no great need for me to do this.

i see you're from singapore too!hi!=) at the time when i bought my aquanaut, it was a week before the 10 percent price increase..and just so happened my ad had the 5167 in bracelet,so i just decided to get it before the increase happened..why i didn't get the nautilus was probably because i felt it looked too mature for me( turned 20 this year) thus i felt the aquanaut was more suited for me.. that being said..a nautilus might just be in the plans in the future... |

Checking in!
I love my 5167a. If it came down to just owning 1 watch, this would be it. Dress up, dress down, jeans, suits, swimming, dining, you name it.
