Finally! 124060

Got my bluesy about 1 month ago and was anxiously waiting for the 124060 to come in. I had the 114060 and had no idea how attached I was to the black dial/bezel and clean no date look. It really does wear smaller to me, so those with bigger wrists, I would be very content with the 11. The biggest surprise is how much lighter it feels than my bluesy, even though I don’t believe on paper they are that much different in weight. Next up is the TT GMT root beer next year, then ceramic white Daytona if it ever comes in!

That is such a freaking beautiful watch. It is a design you can pick up in the 50s, 90's present and twenty years into the future and it will still be relevant and bring a smile to your face.
Huge congrats.

Beautiful — I’m expecting one pretty soon myself .. I’m really super excited about the new green sub, more and more so by the day especially as I’m seeing them on here more often. Anyway that’s been my main focus, so my excitement for this one has been overshadowed nonstop. However, I’m starting to get equally pumped up about this 124060 now and I’m highly anticipating it !! Your picture is making me even more impatient matter of fact..! I’m buying this one to enjoy daily and all my other watches will be worn here and there of course .. but this one is the ultimate daily if you ask me

Looking good bud!

Can you tell a discernable difference between your two subs and your datejust (the crystal/AR treatment)?

Yes. At side angles I have a much easier time seeing the dial clearly on the subs. The datejust is more than fine, but the sub looks as if there is no crystal. Beautiful.

JRell, You are awesome and I hope you get everything you are hoping for. I’m almost to the point of giving up but in the meantime, I’ll just enjoy photos of yours lol....

Why giving up? Don’t! I worked at it for a few years, started with a super avenger, then JLC, then the former sub, speedmaster, then traded in, worked my way up. More importantly than anything, got to make a solid relationship with my AD. Respect their business and they will respect your passion.

I guess I was spoiled from the way it used to be. I traded up a bunch of watches over 40 years. I’ve owned 12 Rolex and still own 5. I’ve been dealing with the same two ADs and bought a bunch of watches for myself and my family. I just have a feeling the Green dial Daytona that my name is on is so rare they are never going to get one for me. It’s a little frustrating but I appreciate your advice!!
