The Doctors Flat Tyre

A doctor on his way to see a patient breaks down with a flat tyre right outside the grounds of a top security mental asylum.

Being a medical man and not at all practically or mechanically minded he looks around in a mix of hope & dispair for someone to help him as he needs to get to his sick patient as soon as possible.

Unfortunately there is no one as the asylum is in the middle of the countryside miles from anywhere.

Nothing for it, he has to make an attempt at changing the wheel himself.

Well, he gets himself in a right old tangle, the jack's not under the car properly, he skins his knuckles as the spanner constantly slips off the nuts as he's got no technique on how to do it and to cap it all when he does eventually get them off he's in such an exhausted state, all covered in sweat & grease and totally flustered he absent mindedly drops all 4 nuts down a gully grate he's parked over!

Well, what the hell is he going to do now?

Just then, he notices one of the patients from the mental asylum watching him over the boundary wall.

"Morning" says the patient.

"Morning" replies the doctor in a totally tired & fed up voice.

Now, unbeknown to the doctor, the patient had actually been watching him for quite a while so had witnessed the full events leading up to this point and knew exactly what a predicament the doctor found himself in.

The patient made a suggestion...

"Why don't you take 1 nut off the other 3 wheels and then at least you can have 3 nuts on each wheel which should be good enough to get you to the next village where you can get a machanic to sort you out properly..."

"Bloody hell" said the doctor "That's a brilliant idea..."

The doc continues... "I'll tell you what young man, when I get myself out of this mess and back to my office I'm going to write a letter to your govenor and recommend you be reassessed...your obviously very intelligent and shouldn't be in that place at all.."

"Thank you" says the patient and drops down from his perch on the wall & back into the grounds of the asylum.

The doctor does exactly as the patient had suggested and soon has 3 nuts on each wheel and is just about to get back in his car to continue his journey when a half house brick comes flying over the wall and whacks the him smack in the back of the head..!

WTF! Cries the doctor and spinning round to see where it had come from, sees the patient back on the wall with his thumb up in the air saying "You won't forget that recommendation now will you doc...?"
