I think Range Rovers are some of the nicest looking vehicles on the road. That said, I wont buy one. My dad owned two previously and had nothing but problems with them. The reliability isn't great. Mercedes is the way to go.

Range rovers look fabulous but are always at the bottom of the reliability list year after year on j.d. power reliability list which keeps me away from the brand. I also known multiple friends who had them bought back as lemons also so just stick with Bmw, Audi, and Mercedes but good luck.

Styling wise I think LR lost their way after the L322... Owned a 2004 for nearly a decade until it finally became more $$$ to keep on the road than it was worth.
I still have my last year 1995 classic. Its a labor of love to keep it operational- But Classic RR is best RR IMHO

I love the looks, driving position, and comfort of Land Rover product but would only lease. That is unless I wanted to tow it around with my Lexus once the warranty ran out

i have owned a few Range Rovers and even demonstrated them on off road courses
i own an L405 4.4 with only 60K miles - professionally detailed every couple of months and as shooting/fishing are my hobbies my car is used as intended - been used in conditions a general owner would not consider and it comes through with flying colours BUT the truth is build quality is somewhat lacking and faults are common and expensive i keep paying for Land Rover Extended Warranty full package at about £1400 per year gives total peace on mind not interested in changing as i love my car and the new 'tech' is of no interest - hell, i want a cd player in my car i never use cruise control or the other toys when i go seriously offroad i disconnect all auto setting and select what i feel is right for the conditions i have two sets of wheels/tyres - summer and ice and snow for winter have done a few minor upgrades such as Powerful UK conversion of boot/load space lights to LED - makes a world of difference for very little cost |

So true. Turn up at a 'decent' shoot, or at say, a Speyside beat, driving a Lexus (or anything similar), and the ghillies or gamekeepers will tell you exactly where to park it!

I should mention btw that my L405 has been 10x more reliable than my Mercedes G63 or SQ7 ever were... maybe I just got lucky with mine.

Need to see the new HSE in person.....not sure I am a fan of the rear but pics sometimes are not great. Glad to see they went to BMW for the motor, though. |

i also had a previous L322 petrol version
actually very few problems apart from a rusting tailgate that was sorted i did do the full conversion to the later 'look' and it suited the car but said conversion was not without problems as the guy who did the original conversion was a cowboy who i admit conned me i ended up taking it an approved LR bodyshop and they were appalled - the wings were literally hanging off - headlight washers not working etc etc cost me a serious amount of cash to get it properly sorted - but it paid off because in the end i sold it without even advertising to somebody who knew the car i loved the colour Tonga Green - with ivory interior i think green suits the cars and i hate black with a vengeance my car is Nara Bronze - never seen another has Almond/Espresso interior i love light interiors as the black/dark interiors i have experience with loan cars make it to me feel as if you are in a dark cave and despite carrying dead deer/pheasants/salmon i have managed to keep the interiors as new - just a bit of care and a proper boot liner |

I have had an order in as well but my April delivery in the US is now delayed to May (and possibly June) for the autobiography. Not paying anything over sticker. Had a 2013 that we loved and no real issues over 8 years with that one.

Could even be computer generated. But the point was, that the Sport model seems to have the 'styling/features' on the body while the made the straight Range Rover as rather featureless side body styling. https://www.caranddriver.com/land-ro...ge-rover-sport https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2...-drive-review/

However for the Sport, they are only doing the old body style (new Sport will be a 2023). You are correct, though.....the HSE is always the more boxy type and the Sport always is a bit more aggressive looking. I think both looked nice in the 2013-2022 body style. |

Beautiful vehicle but let's face it, the chances of it being even reasonably reliable are slim to none. Combine that with the fact that in 5 years it will be worth maybe 50k and I'll stick with my G550 all day long.

I had a 2016 G63 from brand new. My Range was and still is far more reliable.

Checked in with my sales guy yesterday 2/24 and appears my April 8th delivery is still on target. Hard to believe given chip shortage, etc... anyone else following on here have one allocated also?

LOVE my 2012 Sport. There have been a few small issues through out the years of ownership but all in all it has cost me less to maintain and drive than my Surburbans. I buy those the wifey like them. If an when I replace my beloved sport, I will buy another one without fail..Congrats and please post pic when she arrives

We bought this Velar. We like it because it is a little less boxy than the full size.
