Oyster bracelet hmmmm
Hello all,
During these unprecedented times I am taking some solace in enjoying my recently purchased 114060 (i would argue THE rolex prototype) However, as much as I admire the construction of the watch, mine has some degree of stretch on the bracelet and a bit jangly. In theory, with the solid bracelet construction on the modern SS models, I was expecting this to be next to none after 7 years of use. I've attached a stretch photo below. What sort of stretch have members begun to experience on these so-called "un-stretchable" current gen oyster bracelets. The other thing I noticed is that the platinum inlay on the bezel to denote the minutes can be subject to wear which is a bummer Stay safe and healthy everyone |

Oyster bracelet hmmmm
It’s not stretch. It’s wear and tear of the pins between the links if any. Also that’s negligible.
Clean your watches more. |

There is no "stretch" in that bracelet.
Clean the bezel with a brush and some soap and I bet it'll look good as new. |

That’s not stretch. There is still some amount of play in the links. Yours is perfectly normal.

Definitely No Stretch on that bracelet.
I also Agree about the bezel. Warm water with soap and a good cleaning will make that watch shine. |

What has been the experience of owners over this time? Because, in theory these new bracelet construction is designed to be "unstretchable" for decades |

How did you manage to get the bracelet to stand up straight like that?
Try it like this. Looks good.

The braclet of my 114060 looks the same after wearing it for around 8 years in rotation with other wathes so I wouldn't worry about "stretch".

The newer solid bracelet wears as fast as the previous. The wear surface is about the same.
One might argue perhaps even faster because of the added weight. How the new solution of ceramic sleeves around the screw pins work out on the PM models we will know after a decade. All metal rubbing against other metal will wear out. Some wear makes it very comfortable to use Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Modern bracelets don't stretch as the center links are solid. What actually happens, is that the holes wear from friction, which speeds up when a lot of dirt gets in them. Throwing the bracelet (sans watch head) in an ultrasonic bath from time to time will help.
Your bracelet looks perfect. I see no "stretch". |
