Speedy. Stick with the classic. If you want a sub... Get a Rolex.

The Seamaster looks better on your wrist but you cannot go wrong with either of those.

Hard choice but I'd choose the Speedmaster. Probably.

I have the 2254.50, it needs a good polish and a new second hand since the red indicator at the head is faded. Have had the watch for 13-years... it has gone through hell and back and was serviced only once last year. My Omega guy here in San Francisco, the only guy who can work on them here, said it was a miracle that it ran for 11-plus years without needing a service. Also, I'll reiterate that this watch was truly treated as a tool watch and held up beautifully. I don't care for any of the new Omegas, they seem to have lost their way IMO. I'd go with the classic Speedy or a minty 2254.50.

Speedy Pro. Wearing it now as a matter of fact. It's letting me know that it's time for TB Rays baseball.

Speedmaster. There are plenty of divers out there. But none of them were worn on the moon.

Agreed. The 'Legend' is great, except those terribly boring hands. I've been so close to pulling the trigger on a Speedy over the years, but every time I put it on I just can't get over those WHITE stick hands. Boring, boring, boring. If I wanted to look at those types of hands, I would buy any one of a dozen Breitlings (which I don't).
Diver is my vote. Cheers! |

I would get the Moonwatch out of these two fine choices.

SMPc. Gorgeous.
Love the speedy but find the recessed crown a PIA to wind. |

Speedy, my daily watch.
I wear a Milgauss too, but definitely feel more comfortable with my Speedy. |

Seamaster, because I think it looks better than the speedy and the speedy is a bit too big on my wrist.

When I was in the market for an Omega this spring, I chose the black SMPc. A legend is great, and I'm sure you cannot go wrong with a Speedy, but I choose the Seamaster because I preferred the dial, the hands, the sapphire crystal and the likely greater accuracy of a 2500D over the older 1861 movement. Finally, having another chronometer watch, I found that I love to look at it but never use it.

You have a lot of opinions towards one or the other, but no one has stated the obvious - you need both
