1962 Sub 5512

Sorry if this was posted already but not sure if the previous thread got posted or not..

I’m a long time lurker but first time posting so I’m having a hard time posting pictures to get some input from fellow enthusiasts.

Here is a little info on the watch:

I came across a very nice Submariner 5512 with marks III.62, all original, nice gilt, chapter ring, etc and I’m interested in selling it and wondering if you all can give me any input on the watch.

I’ve reached out to some retailers and they’re all over the place with prices.. I’m hoping someone guide me on how to get some pictures on here?

You're in a double quandary here as the forum can't provide a value (its against the rules) and posting pics takes a certain number of posts, 10 I think...

The excl dot would mark it as tritium. Most mid 60’s gilt dials glow like that.

As Michael already said it looks nice.

Value should be around 60-80k depending on the gloss. Looks glossy and nice on that single picture.

This watch is from '62. Consensus seems to be that the exclamation dials still used radium but a less toxic mix.

OP should get hold of a Geiger.

It is regardless less ”hot”. Not sure what the use of a geiger would tell you more than the radiation level as a number. Lume is for sure untouched.
