Watch Out for 1665fan
On a recent For Sale ad I placed in the accessories for rolex watches, I put up a older riveted bracelet that had a lot of dents and damage. I had bought a new submariner in 1970, and this bracelet came on it when new. 1665fan sent me a PM and wanted pictures and said he was interested in purchasing it. After receiving the pictures he said he would take it. He told me he would mail me the funds on the following monday and would confirm his shipping address etc by email at that time. After that other potential buyers were told it was sold. The confirmation never came and I sent 1665fan a couple of messages which were not answered. I then waited until thursday before I relisted the item as up for sale and notified the person who had asked to be notified if the buyer didn't follow through. 1665fan is a member of the Rolex forum who told me his name
was Lucas Hatt. He has well over three thousand posts on the forum. In my opinion he is an unreliable buyer. The person who asked to be next in line did purchase the item and when he received it was pleased with it and planned to send it to Rolliworks for restoration, which I assume has already begun. |
