Tudor Submariner Dial Help

I have a Tudor submariner 79190. Tudor says they don’t have any service dials. Any suggestions on where I can get a Luminova dial and matching hands?

I don’t know where you might get those items, but wonder why you would replace the dial and hands.

You would be better off selling it and getting another watch. Why the desire to change it?

I'd flip it and get a '99 or newer 16610.

Lume is nice... I'm wearing my new Polar Explorer today and was taken back by how bright the lume was after walking out the back door for 30 seconds then coming back up the dark stairs.

But more vintage dials are awesome too.

Try other countries....RSC UK has them in stock last time I looked.

You'd need dial and handset too match - circa £1200-1500 incl non-negotiable service @ RSC.

You'd wipe off between 25-30% of its value mind, so perhaps unwise as others have said !

The last 99 silver bezel 79190's had t swiss made t dials, but they lume up quite a bit under UV, but not bright green like a Tritinova though, btw.

No 40mm Tudor Submariners came with Luminova dials though as last ones in 99.

The 36mm 75190 went on for a year or so longer and can be had with SWISS MADE Luminova especially on Silver and Salmon dial subs.

Just camp out on Ebay until Luminova ones come up - they will have the white gold surrounds.

If you want glow (usable is a valid want even if directly against the vintage originality) find a regular tritium set and have it relumed with QUALITY material to get best of both worlds, and keep your original set for authenticity

Just ask for the manager 00 44 1732 752400 - btw they used to have black and blue 79190 'SWISS MADE' Luminova white gold surround and I think (but I'm hazy on this Blue , not sure about black) 76100/79090/79190 'SWISS MADE' Luminova - without the white gold surround on HR markers :-)

Not all enthusiasts put originality first. Maybe watch has been his since new. He loves it but wants it to do what it was meant to do! OP take TuRo advice. As an aside, I regret not buying a 1680 with matte luminova dial & hands a few years ago.

I recently had a 79190A serviced by Tudor UK. I'd lost the silver bezel and it needed a service anyhow. I like my watches fresh. New dial, new hands, new crown, and a black bezel all fitted no issues.

Could always relume the dial with working lume.. though again we like it original here.

James Hyman aka AlchemistRelumer could certainly achieve your goal and keep it looking good

Great to hear. I understand wanting the watch looking fresh, especially if it doesn't have serious vintage value. Like OP, I want to get a replacement dial too for my 79190 (polished bezel). That being said, I'm not in the UK and I'm curious to know whether they would accept to simply sell me the dial (and hands) so that I may get them installed the next time I do a service in the US.
