I don't get tired taking pics of this Seamaster. The vibrancy of the dial is insane.

Lovely time piece. The blue is a beauty and Omega finishing touches are quite stunning.

Tried to get hold of these two magazines. They both features the Seamaster 300, including the reference history, product selection and background information on the technicalities.

This kind of effect I believe is only possible with a ceramic dial, both very reflective and very rich in color at the same time.

I got to try on the new SMPc at my local AD during my lunch break. They only had the grey dial version and had to go and grab it from the back. The fit for my wrist was much better than my Tudor BB GMT which I will be selling to fund this. While the grey dial was very nice looking I will be holding out for either the blue or black version, undecided so far which to go with.

On an unrelated note, the store I stopped in at is also an A. Lange & Sohne AD. Never seen one in person before, only online. O.M.G. those are some exquisite pieces of art. Out of my price range for a piece of man jewelry but if I had the means to toss $40K+ for a Lange 1 I would absolutely do so. The guy asked if I wanted to try it on...I had to decline for fear it would haunt me of wanting something really bad I can't afford.

Congrats on a fantastic watch Ben! I'm absolutely loving all the pictures you've posted. I ordered the blue dial variant on the rubber strap. If FedEx is on time, I'll have it in less than 12 hours!

I did a funny thing on this watch. I didn't really research it, I didn't watch videos, I didn't see it in person. I just ordered it from a fantastic seller on TRF. I settled on the watch and that was that. Interestingly, my twin brother was walking around Summerset Mall in Oakland County (Michigan) and we were talking about it. He said "hang on, I'll pop in to the Omega AD and see if they have it in stock." 5 minutes later he said a wrist shot of the black and the blue models. It was a tough call as they were both stunning. I told him "I have 3 black dial watches....guess I'll go blue."

So I'm just now reading around the forum - after I placed my order - and I'm glad to see how positive the responses are. Can't wait to receive mine tomorrow!

Updating this thread with some new pics. I took it off for 3 days and start to miss it so it's back on again. This is one of the longest "new watch honeymoon" I recall.

I have a love hate relationship with the Omega SMP 300m, however, I am truly fascinated by the new 2018 updates. I know that not everyone cares about accuracy but how accurate are your new SMP’s running?

It's about +2 sec per day. So it's quite accurate. It's also certified to the more stringent METAS specification for chronometer performance.
