I love the white - go ahead and pull the trigger!

If you don't like it, flip

I know the blue dial SkyD is a very hot watch and can be flipped for profit. tyler1980 mentioned that white SkyD's are selling below retail in the UK. How's the market on the white here in the states? If you don't end up liking it and can easily sell for what you paid (or maybe even at a profit), I say buy it and try it out for a little bit. Nothing to lose in that case.

I was in the same boat and was offered a black one so I took it and really like it. Since I’m set on a white Daytona this worked out well for me. I recently saw a blue DJ41 at an AD and I was thoroughly disappointed with the color. Maybe it was the lighting in the showroom. From my understanding it’s the same blue as the SkyD so now I’m over the blue SkyD.

Little over retail so if you’re “nobody” you’ll likely lose some money flipping it.

lose money selling to a dealer in the UK... you can make money selling it yourself. You are going to have to under price the dealers with reputations though which makes for a lot of time/hassle to move it yourself for not a huge payoff. probably

Ironically, showroom lighting can really do a disservice to sunburst dials.

x2 for me.

I personally passed up a CHNR TT and waited for my White Sky D.

In the process of picking out which blue DJ I am going to get next.

I've had both for a short period of time. White first then blue. If you really want the blue I wouldn't bother with the white, its just a hassle to eventually flip.

White is the best color dial in skyD imho. But if it’s not what you like and want then don’t get it!

Go try it and see if it sings to you. Don't be dishonest with yourself and buy something that doesn't really please you.

After owning one for 9 months, I agree. While I still like my SkyD very much I must say that it could be a tad smaller. As it is, its heft is like a sports watch but not.

Get the white, and if change out the dial in a year or two to the blue dial. it can be done by the RSC and costs about $2k.

I prefer the white face. I like the way the markers and the 24 hiur ring blend into the dial.
Less busy and more refined.

Don’t bother youself with it. If you like blue dial SkyD then wait for it. Sooner or later will become available with your AD. And do not listen to these suggesting to flip. Unless you do it professionally. In all other cases you would lose money.

I actually prefer white on this one. There are much nicer blue dialed watches that I have or desire

Go in and try the white dial on. You will know if it is for you and if you are able to get the watch at retail it can be sold to a Trusted Seller for what you have in it or close to it. I own the white dial and prefer it to the blue dial. Just a matter of preference.

Search this site. It's been discussed, and members have confirmed that an RSC can do this.
