First Omega

After hours and hours of research, I finally purchased my first Omega. Went with the Seamaster 300 diver with grey dial. Excited to join the Omega club and look forward to adding to my Omega connection. I also have a Tag Heuer and a Breitling Superocean Heritage II in black, but this grey dial spoke to me can’t wait to get the blue rubber band for it to really pop.

Interested in other people’s pics of their first Omega purchase and if you still have it and wear it.

Congrats. The grey dial was my favorite as well. The blue rubber strap will definitely be a great addition.

I am really considering to buy a Seamaster Diver 300M. Love this new Omega. The Submariner is getting behind technically...

Congratulations. I look forward to seeing this model in person. The local AD only had the 300 on the rubber strap and I was not impressed by how thin the strap was. I have not seen it in person yet on the bracelet but look forward to giving it a try.

Very nice Brian. I’m curious to check them out. I really like the look of the clasp adjustment ... can you comment?

It is a nice feature that creates a very simple adjustment of around 1/2 inch I would guess.

Here are a couple of pics (I haven’t removed the sticker yet on the clasp).

Thanks for this! From the picture it is difficult to tell ... are there stop positions or does it just slide and somehow lock?

Might be hard to see, but there are 4 small stop grooves maybe every 1/10 inch or so to make adjustments you can stop at. You don’t have to go all the way out.

Thank you, I can see that clearly now.

Looks like a great system. Thank you for providing this detail.

I am also considering this grey one. So different than any other diver on the market.

Very nice! My next watch is most likely either the blue or black version. I got to try on the grey version today and it was a stunner but I just got a grey dial Halios Seaforth.

My first mechanical watch, and the watch that really got me into nice timepieces, was an Omega Speedmaster, triple date, white dial. Got it on my honeymoon 10 years ago and wearing it as I type. I knew nothing about watches back then otherwise I would have got a Speedmaster Professional but I love the watch none the less.

The silver really pops when worn next to other blues.
