ESQ is not a prestige brand, but I own a Quest and it is a very nice functional watch.

Yes, it is Swiss quartz, although the bracelet is made in Hong Kong. Enough of the value of the watch is of Swiss origin and is inspected in Switzerland, so that is considered to be Swiss Made, although it uses the appelation Swiss Quartz.

I think that it's a well-made watch.

Since we're dealing with people here who can find plenty of fault with Rolex, it is no wonder that much fault is found with ESQ, but when one considers what one gets for the money, I think they are worth the money, since they are frequently discounted.

Go take a look at a few and make up your own mind.

By the way they aren't advertised as divers' watches and have a WR rating of about 50m, so take that into consideration.

It'll stand brief immersion, washing up, and working around sinks and such.

I agree, they are not junk. The one I have is heavy and of good quality. The movement is Swiss. Anyway, for $2 at a flmkt you can't beat it. And it's much better quality than a designer watch such as Kenneth Cole made in China with China movement that costs about $100.

Chinese companies also make automatic movements, does this make Chinese movements high quality?
