According to that chart, David Niven and George Lazenby were the only James Bonds to wear Rolex exclusively, and Sean Connery never did not even for 1 movie. He either shared it with a Gruen or Breitling, or didn't wear a Rolex at all.

I'd like to see a James Bond movie where all the James Bonds use their Licenses to Kill to try and kill each other. I believe Lazenby would win because almost nobody would recognize him plus he's been saddled all these decades by having the lowest kill-per-movie count of them all. That's not the sort of reputation any assassin wants, so he'd be extra-motivated given a chance to finally shake it.

Re-watching the movies with my girlfriend and to her joy I am constantly pointing out all the watches.

It is interesting how people constantly focus on the Submariner when the Gruen has actually gotten so much screen time.

Mr Devildog: thanks for posting that chart. Never seen it before and I'm a hard core JB fan. Here's a silly, but fun Bond item.

I remember that car, I had one when I was young but it wasn't in that good condition. It's probably in a box somewhere.

First ever screen Bond was Barry Nelson as Jimmy Bond, and Le Chiffre, the first Bond villain, was played by the wonderful Peter Lorre, shame he didn't do more, perfect casting.

Incredibly cool chart, thanks for posting it.

I have a vintage Gruen Precision, btw. Lovely piece. My understanding is that the Gruen was Connery's personal watch, and it's just a happenstance it made it into the movies (including the iconic fight scene with Odd Job).

One movie is missing from than chart: You Only Live Twice, released in 1967 with Sean Connery. Only one watch in the whole movie: a Gruen Precision Ref. 510.
