Well I have been wearing it on the NATO since i got it, so I tried to put on the Rhino so I could get a shot, and the Rhino is simple too thick to fit through the pins. I was unable to get it on there! Sorry

I think it's a glitch with Photobucket. The whole pic is in the bucket but it downloads with the bit on the bottom missing. Strange!

Cool thing about Natos is that you can change them 2-3 times a day

Don't you think that puts a lot of wear and tear on the watch and on the strap??

Not really, you go back to the whole idea of the nylon nato in the first place and see why it was issued to soldiers as standard equipment.

Yes Doc!

On another thread, I took some grabs from Goldfinger which had been recorded on a PVR. These are of low quality and show the two tone NATO we are familiar with, although on a second look there is a hint of red.

Well I happen to have just purchased some of the Connery films on DVD where the quality is a lot better and the red stripes are clearly visible.

The above have merely been grabbed and cropped, no changes have been made to the colour balance, contrast, or levels. This looks to me as though at least in Goldfinger the strap is dark blue / black with green strips, boarded on each side with a thin band of red. Pretty far removed from what we now assume to be the Bond NATO colours but in my experience a lot more in keeping with British military colours on ties etc..

Sub on NATO looks great, but I still prefer legendary Oyster bracelet...I guess that on NATO it feels more comfortable.

They really are very comfortable, though I don’t feel comfortable wearing those light NATO’s in the water. When it comes to the crushing black oblivion of Davy Jones’ Locker the heavy duty NATO’s are better in my opinion or simply the Oyster Bracelet.

Heavy Duty Pro Dive Strap

Both the normal nato and that heavy duty one can be purchased from eBay easy enough.

Hey Guys,

Can someone with ADMIN rights please edit the title of this thread and change G9 to G10???

These NATO straps are correctly referred to as a G10 not a G9.

Somehow I got that mixed up in my mind.

Anyway it's dead wrong and would dearly like someone to correct it.
