Smurf 100%!!! Once you try PM, you will very rarely wear SS. Besides, they are all Submariners

i would do it, but it would have to be 2 difft pieces than those 2 mentioned
otherwise, to trade 2 for 1 , is not ideal for me

X2. If the PM sub is what you REALLY want, then go for it.

Sold my blue YM and SD43 to get my Smurf, no regrets. But I am a one watch guy.

If it leaves your collection with no SS Rolex models to have as a daily "beater" then it's a tough call.

If it was me I would really need to be getting top dollar for both the LV and BLNR in conjunction with a good deal on the Smurf to make this trade enticing.

I wouldn’ t do it. You have two grails now. Once you get 116619 you would feel pity, as soon afterwards you would reconsider its grail-ness!

I wouldn't do it because I love the hulk colors way more than the LB. But it it's your grail and the $$ values match up, go for it.

I think if the PM is your ultimate grail then sure, why not take advantage of the current situation and make it happen. If you are patient you could always re-acquire the two you have at retail with a reasonable waiting period should you wish to switch back.

You already there in your thought process. When I get to this point for a grail, it's a matter of time before you do it. I love my 116619, I sold a couple of watches to make space for this one and I have no regrets at all. You could wear it daily. When you wear the PM it's something that won't compare to the SS. Do it

I did something similar - a 16610LV and SD4k plus some cash for a Smurf.

Loved it, owned it for a year and sold it back to the dealer I bought it from.
Had picked up a number of scratches, a deep scratch on the crown and lost EUR3k over a year - but loved the experience.

Would I do it again ? Probably not and not with the BLNR.

Go for it. If it is your grail you will be pleased and if it works out that after you own it you want your other watches back, you can do it. Might loss a little money but remember that this is a hobby and it is about being able to get what you want within reason.

You can always buy those things back if you want to later. As long as they're in production, they are replaceable. My question to you is: how well can you sell them? You may see them for sale in the classifieds, but no one gets asking prices, especially if they are not a TS. I sold my BLNR for a good price, but my selling history isn't quite what DavidS-W's is (for example) so he could sell the same watch for a lot more.

Or maybe you were planning on trading them, in which case you know you're not getting premium dollar (although certainly a lot less hassle).

It's just a watch.

Oh, and yes, I bought the BLNR again, new this time.

This!

Keep the LV and sell your other watches, add some cash and go for your grail, as it is a great watch.

I would do it. But then again, I'm biased. I already have one and it's my favorite in the current line up. Here's some encouragement.

The problem I fear is that you never really know what your grail watch is.

For me it's always changing and I'm not sure if giving up these two to get your "grail makes your desire for others any less

I would keep LV and flip BLNR for the new BLRO. But that's me.
Thinking is part of the fun.
Enjoy

Agree ⬆️⬆️⬆️ With the thoughts of all these gentleman....therefore I’m all over the map on this one
PM > SS, true (IMO)....,especially when it’s a dial, bezel, bracelet, etc..that’s exclusive to the PM piece. I’ve owned this watch a couple times and love it to a point. Maybe it’s my age, personality, etc... but it a touch too (electric) blue for me, and blue is my favorite color! I’d especially have a tough time doing it if it were going to be my one and only. I’ve consolidated for PM, sold PM to acquire multiple SS, but never was a one watch guy. Next question for me at this point would be....will a version of this come out in SS soon??(unfortunately a valid thought process these days ,,,at least for me) Also, a grail for me doesn’t really exist, as once I acquire something I REALLY want, it’s usually on to the next hunt, conquest, etc... very soon after.
Good luck, and I wish I was more help, but food for thought anyway

Very difficult choice. Love the 116619 but those are two amazing watches in their own right that cover any occasion.
After a sleepless night of indecision, I would conclude not to.

Bringing up another view point.... Isn’t the Smurf significantly easier to find at dealers than the LVc and BLNR?

Sure, but they’re all in production, so what difference does it make?
