it's been confirmed by a friend of mine that the OF will fit on the SS Daytona. I don't think the lug hole positions are the same between PM and SS watches, but with a strap that does not integrate to the case it shouldn't be an issue.

The big question is will the end links fit in between the strap and the case.

Can't wait to see what you have planned! Thanks for sharing your idea and bringing it to life. Would love to do the same OEM "mod" for my DaytonaC.

Reminds me of the now-discontinued 116519 that would come with the black dial.

Everest has end links. Not sure they work with the of.

Thanks for chiming in!

I'm quite certain they wouldn't work in this case. Their end links are custom made for their straps.

Should have the OF in hand next week. End links to follow shortly after! Excited to see if this will workout.

Looking forward to the pics when the OF comes in. It's going to look sweet, and no more PCLs to contend with! Hoping the OF becomes easier to obtain as I might do the same.

good news everything fits pretty well... bad news, everything but the size on my wrist. Way too big! Looks like it will be some more time before this gets on the wrist. It looks damn good though.

I don't know anything about OF or any other rubber strap. How are they sized? Do you cut them down, special order a particular size?

I think that looks pretty cool, and was thinking whenever my SS Daytona arrives (if?), perhaps I'd do something like this if I keep it.

Looks fantastic.

If the OF fits with those end links, my bet is a RubberB will also fit.

I believe the OF PM Daytonas have the same case and endlink setup as the RG Daytona on leather I dad did. I put a Rubber B on mine and it was excellent.

Worth a try until you can get a smaller OF?

good point! I did consider this, but I thought owning an Oysterflex would be awesome, as I could occasionally use it with my Submariner. I guess the same applies to the rubber b, but that rub b set up on a submariner, doesn't quite have the appeal that an oyster flex would.

That looks super. Too bad about the fit. Since that OF doesn't belong on that watch, I guess a trip to the NYC RSC is out of the question for a proper sizing.

I should be able to source the right size, it will just take some patience

In the meantime Ive been playing around with a simple flat leather strap and I think it looks great. It's super comfy!

Good luck on the fit bc it looks amazing. I didn't realize how OF are sized... Best of luck and post the pretty pretty results

Looks great. Are those end links OEM? If so, what model are they from? Thanks!

Wow - thanks for the update, I really like the all "OEM" look even with the aftermarket end-links. With the OF on, it looks like the new WG DaytonaC on Oysterflex.

I still think I prefer the bracelet to the oyster flex strap in general, but would love to get your thoughts on it and compare the two if and when you get the right OF bracelet size.

Each strap piece is individually sized using a letter system. The pieces I used are E & G. It looks like I'm gonna need an E&F. So you don't cut them at all, you just need the right size! With the micro adjustments and ezlink I should be able to get the E&F to work.

Our own SmartyJones18 made these for me! Shoot him a PM if you're interested. He was really easy to work with. All models with this type of look have the end links built into the case, so you're not gonna find the pieces in OEM.
