Is there a problem with this Rolex?

Hi, I’m new to this forum and also to Rolex. I hope to buy my first Rolex soon.

I have found this Rolex advertised as an Explorer, but the hands are wrong for an Explorer? Looks like OP hands on an Explorer dial? There is also no text on the bottom half of the watch face. I would expect the “Superlative Chronometer...” text there.

Is there something wrong with this watch? Redial?

It's not an Explorer dial either since it has an applied coronet logo instead of a triangle at 12. The style is like a 11600 dial except the batons are too short and, as you said, the dial text is missing at the bottom.

Bottom line, I'd stay away.

That's because it is not an Explorer, it is an OP.

An OP but with numerals at 3, 6 and 9?
But still you would expect the text in the bottom half of the dial?

Sorry if questions sound stupid but I’m new to Rolex and still learning a lot. I’m trying to avoid learning expensive lessons.

Same era as the 14060 Subs and 14000 Air Kings. Non COSC movements, no Superlative Chronometer markings.

I would want to check numbers and dates, but it is likely a re-dialed (Luminova) OP. Watch itself is probably from the 70's or 80's.
