It's still in production. Supply and demand = prices higher than retail

Don't call it the batman lest we taunt you.

James is correct.

It's still in production and if you can find one at 9k you should grab it.

Depends where you are but it’s possible to get one.
Believe I have (after about a month of trying) got myself onto a waiting list here in London for a BLNR. Some guys are speculating it could be discontinued soon but most likely it will just be revised with an updated movement to be in line with the BLRO released this year. Also no guarantee that the update takes place this year (although it seems logical)

Have a little scan through the various AD / waiting list threads in here, in principle the same applies to us all the same regardless of SS models. If your outside of London you’ll have a better bet but good luck in the hunt !

they are selling for so much because you are probably not going to be able to get one from an AD. Everyone is after SS sports models and the UK is particularly hard

New BLNR MSRP is $8950 US(£6972.72 BP). So the price of £9k is probably from the gray market? BLNR is still out there at ADs. I got my from AD 1.5 month ago.

Im told . . . "Pay Half and i can special order it for you . . . "

Im a bit skeptical at this statement considering they were the only place to tell me such a statement out of 10 different AD's i have spoken with.
Good Luck on your hunt . . Welcome to the Forum!

May I know from which legit source saying that the BLNR is still in production?
And, why BLNR is no more shown in the catalog?

First post - long time lurker.

It's still on the Rolex website as I've been drooling over one for a while now, look in the GMT Master II section and click on view all watches. I can't post links on here until I have made 10 posts

It never went out of production. And the BLNR is, indeed, still listed on the Rolex website as a current model.

Because the catalog has never shown everything.

its £6550 and that includes a 20% Tax. Your US price doesnt include tax so as you can see the price discrepancy is part of the problem

$9688 in the US and $8400 in the UK including taxes

It's still in production. This has been discussed ad nauseam. You're catalog doesn't show everything but the Rolex website still shows it and if you went into an AD they will tell you it's still in production, but they don't have one in stock.

The official Rolex website shows it as a current model.
Is this legit enough?

It’s definitely available and if you find one in an AD, grab it at retail (as others have pointed out, $8950 in the US). I got mine from an AD here in the Bay Area but walked in and asked. It can’t hurt. They’d gotten it in that morning, and I bought it on the spot. That was June 2017 and the demand has only increased since then.

The other thing to do is to monitor the (amazing) trusted sellers on TRF (this forum). You’ll pay above retail, but they seem to have a fairly steady trickle of lightly used, pre-loved BLNRs.

Good luck finding your Batman!
