Peace of mind on my 114060
Hello!
Recently i bought my first Rolex. A 114060. More to come Now all ad's where out of stock so i gone grey market, not much below listprice though. But i just searched for the watch and not really for much discount. Now i bought it from a trusted seller on chrono24 and also he had a fysical store, the watch was stickered and from 2017. Now i see there are so many to good replica's around i get nervous every time with the idea that i am sold a replica as a genuine, now i know thats very unlikely but i want to have ur opinion for just a bit more piece of mind Sorry for the shitload of photo's but i pretty much like the watch besides the nervous factor in my aquisition. By the way the sticker on the back of the watch is still on in case you all wonder.... LOL |

I would put a lot of faith in this watch being genuine. The machining on the bezel is flawless, the numbers engraved into the bezel insert are the correct platinum color, the hands are perfect and dial printing very crisp. The rehaut engraving is also correct and perfectly crisp. As far as i can tell visually it is real. Good purchase!

i am in such a total struggle which watch to add next..... the batman gmt or a black dial explorer 2.... I love them both equally... But i know batman is a more investment wise choose which is also important for me, on the other hand i think i can get some discount on a exp 2.... I like to buy unused..... What do you guys think?

I thought black dial surface finish between the 7-8, 8-9 markers looks “bubbled” in the third from last picture. It may be nothing, just my view

Congratulations on your new Submariner
Not to rain on your parade, but the dial looks a little pitted in the 3rd from last of the pictures Maybe that’s just dust or something on the crystal... |

It must just be me then, if no one else is seeing what I see
It would normally mean: maybe water damaged dial, or poor finished dial. |

One dead giveaway of a falsie is the crown when screwed tight doesn’t align with the case. The crown lines up in perfect alignment with the case on the real McCoy like yours is. Very difficult to get right on a counterfeit- enjoy your great purchase, james in San Antonio tx

1. There is no "alignment" for the final resting position of the winding crown. It is completely random. 2. The winding crown on the OP's watch does not "line up" with anything as you state. |

Why didn’t you just check the papers and make sure the random serial number matched the rehaut engraving at the 6 o’clock position? I did a ton of research on identifying replicas and fakes before I bought my first Rolex and one thing I’ve never ever seen is a fake/replica with matching papers!!

There have been fakes with matching papers (and now matching warranty cards) for several years now. |
