That pic isn't enough proof to buy a donut, let alone a Rolex.

I'd insist on more detailed pix.

I'd ask for pix of the buckle (extended inside), back of the watch, without bracelet between the lugs at 12 and 6 sides, opened crown top view and ask the seller to take images of the watch at selected times shown on the watch. the pix you shared are all within the same few minutes and you can't tell if the pix are fresh or old.

just play it safe.

At first glance it looks Ok, but if you zoom in a bit, the dial print looks too sloppy and the finish on the (platinum) dial seems a bit too course. A few other details are iffy as well. Could just be the lighting and/or photo compression though.
However, it's interesting that all of the pics are obscuring the coronet on the dial. In fact, when comparing dial fonts on the 2nd and 3rd pics, it almost looks like two different watches (again, maybe just a focus/compression/resolution issue).

I'd say that's the same watch in the same lighting. Looks alright. I'd want to see the clasp and back of case plus serial and model between lugs to rule out any franken nastiness.

Only do face to face and ask seller to meet you at a jewelry store to verify.

no rehaut engraving on these earlier models

I don't know if its the compression , but the end links don't look so flush , and the crispness of the print on the dial especially the ticks , and the Swiss made

There are three different versions of the YM1 platinum 40mm. First from 2000-2008 the YM1 had the guide-lock clasp w/ no Renault in the dial. In 2008-2012 is when the YM1 had the Renault dial but still the guide-lock clasp. In 2012-2016 the YM1 had the Renault clasp and the newer Rolex clasp before being discontinued in summer of 2016. The 2016 which is the successor has the blue second hand plus the dark rhodium dial. I owned the first two series and my favorite is the second series. You can get the first two series for under 7k. The third series is way more expensive for the Rolex clasp.

Looks legit to me too, but those photos sure do make it look like a 2nd grader polished it.

I am guessing you meant "glide lock" not "guide-lock" and "rehaut" instead of "renault" there? If you had a renault in the dial, you would have big problems, lol...

Anyway, just to clarify a couple points:

1.) There are plenty of Z-serial (2006-ish) 16622s out there with engraved rehauts.
2.) There were no glide-lock clasps used on any 16622 (the updated clasp first appeared on the updated 116622).

SorryI am using my baby’s iPad mini and the spell check corrected to Renault from Rehaut. Lol

The z-serial must be very rare. I had the 16622 w/o the rehaut and I now have a 16622 w/ rehaut m-series. I paid $600 to do the switch a couple of years ago. It is almost the price for a service. I was about to pay 4K to switch to a 2015 version 116622 but instead I got my wife a 2004 35mm mid-size for the wife so we can twin. The m-series was new and wow it is beautiful when new. It is my favorite model bc it looks beautiful and can be worn w/ any attire you put on. I also have a YM2 YG 116688 & 16610LV.

Yep, they are great pieces. Pretty good value as well, considering the platinum content.
