Advice on my MB please

Have an MB fountain pen which I have owned for some 20years (but which is a bit older). Used it at work for the odd signature but now I'm retired I just use an MB ballpoint all of the time.

Just interested in researching the model almost certainly to keep but might sell.

Is yellow gold, has "Germany" and serial MY xxx353 (not sure if serial should be hidden with pens to avoid scammers) on top gold rim and MM Meister etc on bottom rim.

Takes either a filler or cartridge.

Any advice re history and value appreciated.

Thanks

Looks like you have a Montblanc 145 that was also sold as the Chopin (depended on how it was packaged). It was the replacement of the modern 144 series that was slightly slimmer and had a slip on cap. Your pen is one made sometime after 1992 at the very earliest. The value is likely between $150.00-200.00 if it had all of the boxes and paperwork, slightly less without those.

Thanks, thats sound right. It wasn't the Chopin edition. It does have something written inside of the cap pin and but hard to read! Have the box but no papers but shall hang on to it. Your help appreciated.
