Double incoming this week

I decided to shift gears lately with all the hoopla and AD games to get stainless steel sport watches , etc

So I started checking out dress watches which is something my collection lacked. I don’t dress up often, but anticipate it more as I age and ended up getting a couple pieces I felt I could wear for a long time.

So I struck while the market is chasing after certain few pieces and I feel fortunate to have obtained a couple nice pieces at reasonable prices.

Thanks guys! Both are nice and slim and comfy on the wrist. Different feel for me as I've always previously worn metal sport pieces.

I really like the officer caseback, was thinking of one but no longer wear suits for work so felt too formal for me

But they both look great congrats

I love these! This is likely part of Patek's plan to limit the sports models and people will start to look again at the dressier refs. Personally I love the dressy models and I am happy to see them get more love on this forum.
Congrats!

Thank you all for the kind comments. The dial on the 5227 is beautiful. 12 coats of lacquer.
The 5196 can be dressed down - I already ordered a brown strap and will likely get a matte black as well.

Congrats, both are gorgeous! Just tried on the 5227r last week.
So if you had to pick, which one do you like better on first impression?

Well , for me personally I think the 5196p is more versatile. I can wear it dressed up or down. The rose gold is pretty much a dress watch. Since I don’t dress up that often if I had to get just one it would be the platinum.

That said the beauty and craftsmanship of the 5227r is amazing and arguably a more beautiful watch.
