It is the Patek boutique (run by Maison Birks) in Vancouver. I think it is the only AD serving the entire province.

I actually did see it in the case at watches and of Switzerland in the Wynn and CH both a few months ago. Both times I chatted with the SAs and they said it’s for sale.

Thanks for the info. Ch in valley fair? I asked about it but was told all patek sales were at the discretion of the manager.

yes, the CH in valley fair. I don't know about the manager allocation part, I bought some pieces (non patek) beofore from them but in this case I inquired about some vacheron pieces (in their new boutique) and then the SA walked me over to their multi brand boutique and I asked what's available from patek and apparently the 6119 was one of them.

Maybe I’ll try again in a month’s time when I have the funds. I’ve got some purchase history at CH (about 20k) but they always give me the runaround. Not that I’m in the market for it but I’ve heard through the grapevine that they won’t let you get an aquanaut without at least 150k of history. I’ve personally had to go preowned to get some limited watches I wanted to buy at CH but they would never offer such as the lake suwa and silver snoopy.

same experience couple weeks ago there. manager was super nice, but yeah basically years and years for a 6119, no 'list' exists. she says need to just check with them often on what they have. i dont have time for that..

That is crazy. Perhaps they are just signaling to try and keep the mystique up?

If that is truly the case in that geography, I would go gray then. I don’t think having the name on the paper is worth the hassle or wait. Add to that the significant discount to MSRP on the secondary market, and it's a no-brainer, at least in my opinion.

No need to play AD games.

Am I the only one where when I see a picture of the RG, I think "That one's the best," and then when I see one of the WG, I think the WG is the best?

damn hard to choose...but i'm leaning towaeds a G even though i have not seen in irl as it's more low key and may be more versatile with different straps and natos. i wear dress shirt 'maybe' once a year at most..

I can tell you that getting any Patek, including the 6119 (which I have been targeting) from the AD in Canada is very very tough. I've pretty much given up.

I have the same feeling, I don’t like the slate dial as much, but would like the white gold with the white dial.

Unless you have a good spend history it is difficult to get any patek from A.D in Canada.

For those that own a 6119 and have a smaller wrist like me (6.6"), is the 6119 too big? I love it, but haven't had the opportunity to try it on, my instinct says it wears too big for my wrist? Any thoughts? Wish it was 38mm.

I would say it’s too big, but people with 7.25” wrist also wear the Rolex SDDS and think it’s ok (which in my opinion looks ridiculous).

40mm on Submariner or GMT2 vs 39mm on the 6119 is very different. Because the bezel on the sub takes a lot of real estate, the dial face takes up less of the 40mm than the 39mm of the 6119. A larger dial will make the watch look bigger.

The lugs on the 6119 also have a slight curve, so it won’t conform as well to a smaller wrist.

Lastly, my comment above applies. Consider it if you try one on. I was recently at the Patek Saloon and got a chance to try on a bunch of watches. The nice thing is that these watches are actually all broken in, so the leather strap conforms to your wrist and you can really see how the watch will look.

Maybe because it sits flat on the wrist it wears larger - but when I doubt just go for the 5196 great watch and 40-50 off the retail price of the 6119

Well I got offered the white gold 6119G a day after I visited the AD. I still want to see the rose gold in person before I make a decision. The grey dial was more visible than I thought it would be but I feel like in lower light it would still be difficult.

I have said this in other threads, BUT (in my personal opinion) the 6119g looks better in photos (but only at a good angle) than in real life and the 6119r actually looks better in person than the photos as the angle of the pics have to be very exact for the 6119g to make it look really good in photos.

Thank you, confirms my thoughts as well. Haven't had one on the wrist yet.

I prefer the G but not at the insane prices since the last few price hikes. The likes of 5196 is a much better proposition. For the G, you really have to see it in person. As its hand finished some have a nice symmetrical brushed finish that stands out in the light, others appear a bit dull.

I generally prefer G, but in the case of the 6119, R is the one to get.
