I'd love to see a nice macro picture of the dial and insert.

Best to do it in daylight.

The pics as shown make the dial and insert look a bit ..... well .... um ... you know.

If it was bought new from a dealer then I'm sure you've got an original beauty.

I'd really like to see the dial in all it's clear glory though.

I just noticed this thread. Is that watch for real? The pics aren't the greatest, so I apologize in advance if I'm way off base here, but:

- dial printing looks awfully sloppy,
- the bezel font appears to be incorrect, too small, and incorrectly spaced,
- the printing between the lugs looks too perfect,
- the text on the end of the bracelet looks too fat,
- the coronet on the clasp is positioned too high up, and
- aren't the pushers supposed to be asymmetrical? they don't appear to be on this.

I hate to say it, but that looks fake to me. jklein whats the story?

I think the dial has been redone, but still a nice watch.

I hate to be another doubter but I see a lot of problems. The case markings are screaming 'fake' at my eyes.

I would get the watch checked out by someone knowledgeable in vintage Rolex.

My sincerest apologies if I am mistaken.

I was trying to be diplomatic with my previous post Pav.

The guy was just passing a fake off as real.

How sad is that?

Just look at the engraving, that gave it away in an instant. Why are we allowing this to happen here? This is sad.
