Swapping Rolex 116710 for JLC Master compress diving titanium
Hi all, I have a small Rolex collection and have just got a new 116613 sub and and fancy changing my 116710 GMT 2007 b and p for a JLC master compressor gmt diving titanium 2011 with b and p. Am I mad? And is it a poor swap financially and watch wise?!

You're asking so I'll advance my $0.02 worth. I wouldn't trade a real watch for a gimmick of a watch. Just my humble experience resulting from first hand experience.

The size difference is quite vast! I just sold a master compressor chrono and now miss having a JLC. I think this has prompted my question. I even like the JLC squadra reverso. Finacially I know the 116710 is always going to be money in the bank but I just get bored easily and want to trade. The 116710 does seem bullet proof and made of granite though.

I see we have a clear consensus
I wouldn't do it, but it's your call.

Well, it would seem that picture has done the trick! Its just me missing my JLC and the quality if their movements. Or what we are told are superior movements! Who knows!

That jlc diver does nothing for me. Outside of a nice dress watch JLC does nothing for me in general.

If I just got a Sub I sure wouldn't trade a GMT for another diver.

JLC has a terrible resale, especially MC series - took me always 10 months to sell one and I was pricing it well below the going market rates. Also the larger pieces of 45/47mm as losing their popularity real quick so I'd be careful with that chrono as it looks and wears like a table clock. JCL are very good in dress range I feel, and have been struggling to make a splash in sporty watch segment for a Long time (if Yiu don't count the reverso line which is very good). I'd stick with Rolex and look for another JLC
