Thoughts on this gmt master condition

It's a two tone brown dial never been serviced not worn much either sticker still on the back of the case 0 stretch on the bracelet.

The lume on dial does not match hands seems darker. Also lume one hands near stem seem to be stained?
Other than that the watch seems mint can u guys advise the originality and thoughts on the stains on the hands.
Anyone know current value
Thank you

I'm no expert but it looks in very good condition. Could you post pics of the bracelet to check the stretch?

Beautiful piece. Hands might have been swapped, but maybe not. Tritium doesn't always age the same. Also, the "staining" you refer to could actually be patina creeping in on the hands. I'd leave them alone.

I'd need to see more photographs of the case, and from the sides, to determine whether or not it might have been polished. Impossible to tell just from the one photo posted. Lugs and crown guards look nice and fat, though. Congrats!

What's suggesting polished from this picture? Top lugs show chamfers. Brushed surfaces look prominent... Is it the lower crown guard?

I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm just curious what you're seeing that I'm not.

I'd say it's impossible to tell whether this watch has been polished just from that one photo. If anything, I'd lean toward it being unpolished because of the lines of the case and thickness. The ends of the crown guards are supposed to have a polished finish and be slightly rounded as they show in the photo. That doesn't mean they've had an additional polish.

Condition looks very good to me, but you are right about the luminous on the hands not matching the dial. This could be natural, they sometimes age differently, or it could be because the hands were replaced. The discoloration on the luminous is most likely because of excessive oil creeping on to the hands. This is a surprisingly common thing, and there's not much you can do about it now that its happened.

Looks to me like it has spent it's entire life tucked away somewhere..

It is not possible to determine if it has been refinished or touched up..

This. Overall, a beautiful example I'd be proud to own.

Compare it to this unpolished GMT 16750 which might help you determine further if it is unpolished.

Thank you all for your input. My goal was to buy the best gmt I could afford that was original not ever polished or modified. I am very happy with this watch it is a time capsule from 1990 worn gently for a short time and put away all those years. WOW look at thoes lugs!

Thanks again all!
