Nakaya options
With all this talk of awesome Japanese pens lately, I've found myself revisiting my interest in a Nakaya Naka-ai writer in aka-tamenuri. An italic nib sounds like the way to go here but there's an option of pink gold for the nib and clip. Also a matte finish is possible for the clip. I'm not sure if the Nakaya plating is more of an everose color or more toward pink. The matte clip is an interesting thought. I love the matte finish on my Omas Ludovico Einaudi but, in that case, the entire pen and hardware is matte save for the nib. I'm undecided how a matte clip with a polished pen would look. These are complicated decisions we have here!!

Maybe this will help. Here you can see the matte clip next to the bright finish clip.
And a medium cursive italic nib next to a double broad stub nib. |

Thanks Jim! These are a great reference. Both are great. Can't lose either way.

I like the idea of the matte clips, but for some reason I feel the clip has to match the nib.
