No that's not what I'm saying I understand it's been explained I was asking a question if he thought it would be a simpler way to do it (since I know he uses photoshop like I do) Quote:

Alan, excellent pics.
I also want to apologise for the thought crime - I assumed P'shop as well, but that just proves my ignorance in the technique of watch-hacking. Thanks for explaining your process and good to see you are so gracious about some of the feedback.

At first, I didn't think it was that impressive b/c it was just a page full of Rolexes...albeit set to a specific time. But then the multi-watch shots at 10:10:31 definitely changed my mind. And the explanation of how it was done was even more impressive--true dedication there. Thank you for sharing!

Extraordinary instagram account - how does he do it?
Have had the time to read Alan's interview and other articles in the ether and now realize if we want any Daytona shots we need to enable some Motorsports related pursuits.
Maybe an intro to Dr. Tom at Daytona some weekend... Or a drive in a GT3RS... ...ps: not my car...

Great work Alan, I appreciate the time and effort it takes to get a great shot as a fellow photographer.

Thanks for contributing Alan and Ken for bringing Alan to the thread!
I've spent too much time wondering how he gets all his pieces at Rolex time |

I've been a fan of Alan's photography for years, and he is a very friendly guy on top of that. Anyone being good at something requires a lot of dedication and hard work. It is as simple as that.

Here's how I do it.
Hack, photograph, push the crown back in photoshop. I do that for all my DSLR pics, even if there is more than one watch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I want to send you all of my watches so you can photograph them for me, your photos actually make watches look BETTER than they do in the metal. |

LOL Thanks for the kind words, I should take some new pics for IG, but I haven't had any inspiration lately. I almost always have a watch on loan to me. Huge itch for a new watch but I must resist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I read this and it hits me that when I try and take a watch picture there's a mystery smudge on the ceramic bezel my eye doesn't see but the 15mp camera pics up.
LOL I'm the worst. |
