looking at a gmt 1675 its said to have sapphire cystral, can be ? should that be avoided.?

should be plastic. but I have seen DJ and even GMT 'updated' with special sapphire crystals which have clearance for the second hand.
I would change back to plastic... |

The crystal is not sapphire but acrylic and is correct. Bracelet is a much later 62510 GMT Jubilee bracelet.
