In a dilemma. Volcano or Black Rubberclad?
Hello everyone. Planning to get my first ROO but im in a dilemma on whether i should get the Volcano or Black Rubberclad?
Im not really a fan of safari / SS black theme or any white dial or plain dial themed ROO. I've done lots of read ups on the Volcano and basically its a very loud watch with a huge wrist presence. I really love the watch but im afraid i might get tired of orange after awhile. Im always a casual person and my job dosent requires me to wear a formal attire or suit. Im more of a casual person who wears berms or jeans everyday with tees everyday. Black RC on the other hand also catches my eyes. I have a friend who wears it all the time and IMO i think its as loud as the volcano and has a huge wrist presence as well but elegant at the same time. Plus black is not something one would get bored off. The white sub dial looks stunning too. Now both are very beautiful watch that screams AP from across the room and im still deciding which one to get. I have a very good Volcano deal coming soon from a mutual friend who is selling way below market price and im afraid i would miss it. |

Never buy a watch based on price. Buy the piece that sings to you the most.

both are nice ,I like the Volcano more, for the Rubberclad if you always see that your friend wears it all the time then you should be some different ...go for Volcano

I have the Volcano and the Rubberclad, but in Rosegold.
The Rubberclads are great as they have the bezels protected. However, the Volcano is a bit of a loud watch, and draws some attention, I love it. It's a very personal watch, some people love it some dislike it. Between a SS Rubberclad and the Volcano, I'd pick the Volcano. Here's mine on the Orange rubber.

Something tells me that you are going to enjoy the Volcano much better...both are nice pieces nevertheless.

I've had a rubberclad (in the white dial) for about ten years now. The great thing about it is that it dresses up or down easily—I can wear it with jeans or a suit with no problem. On the other hand, I've got some louder watches that I have difficulty wearing quite as much. I'd go with the RC.

If screaming AP from across the room is your thing... Volcano.
If not, maybe the Rubberclad neither haha, but it sure is more subdued and the one I would get.
