Introduction
Just a quick introduction. I joined to help aid in my search for a GMT Master II Ceramic 116710. I currently am waiting on a reply on an offer I made for a 2009 model that was serviced at the end of 2015 (factory).
I've never been a Rolex guy. I've always loved breitling (and still do) but I want something lower profile that can fit under my sleeves when I wear a nice shirt. Down the road I'm sure I will get a nice Vacheron but I'd prefer to wait until I get older. I like sport watches and don't care for anything trendy. (No AP no Hublot for me). Currently I have an SS Breitling Chronomat 47 GMT and old SS Chronomat Evolution. I also have an old automatic Piaget 36mm and a solid gold Girard Perregaux. I really wanted a Yachtmaster but after seeing the GMT with the green hand I fell in love. Rolex is extremely common here but in a way that's a good thing. I'm either going to trade my Chronomat Evo or just sell it. Either way I'm getting that Master II! I really wanted the batman but I don't like that it doesn't really go with any outfit the way a solid black dial does. One last thing, I love Lucchese classic boots. I imagine there are a few boot guy here. That is all! |

Note: My original post says "Girard Perregaux". I was wrong. It's a much lesser know brand called Bueche Girod.
Here are a couple lousy pics of my "collection". The Piaget and the Bueche Girod are strictly tuxedo watches. My dad bought them in the 70s and gifted them to me some time back. We like to laugh about how tacky the Girod is. The Breitling Chronomat GMT 47 is my second favorite sport watch of all times (after the VC Overseas). I'm obsessed with it. It's a huge watch but I'm a little over 6'5" and 270lbs so it looks fine on me. Aamir (AIS Watches) just sourced me a BNIB GMT Master II Ceramic! Funds are sent and it will be here tomorrow. |
