New 93150 band for my 1680.

So it came in today. I picked it up and installed it. Put the original in the safe. Here are a couple of pics.

It has a date code of ST10, versus the original date code of B.

They (the AD) followed my request and provided the paperwork and Rolex packaging so I could verify the source of the band as an actual Rolex part. If I paid such a high price for it, I wanted to know if it was an actual Rolex replacement. I had earlier some months ago bought a Ebay version for $38.00 and was surprised by how well it fit and looked but it had no "Rolex" fake logo. So paying the retail $1450 or $1250...I forgot which, made me nervous and wanted to try and verify the actual source of the AD's band...much to my satisfaction.

Nice - what sort of condition is the original one in? Don't you trust it on the watch?

The original was repaired however 40 years of daily wear had worn down the clasp and Rolex Crown. There was a huge amount of stretch so it only had a few more years left before a link separated.

The original is in my safe until I get around to having it restored by Michael Young.

Thank you, It was a great bike. I loved riding it for a few years. I sold it because I was going to be killed by it or in jail. I could not resist going anywhere at 100mph or more. I loved riding at 175mph too much.

HQ sold me a good used one for USD600 a couple of years ago, but I bought a 5513 head at the same time so Jacek might've given me a deal. Ha, back when you could find 5513s in any condition for under USD4K. Cheapest he's got today is over 6

I pulled the sales slip...it was $1450 plus tax. I remembered when they pulled this huge Rolex catalogue which had the details of each part as well as photos. I don't know why they didn't use the computer, seems like that would be much easier to have at the Rolex counter?

That looks good. Im trying (unsuccessfully) to obtain a "flip" catch for the clasp on My bracelet at the moment. My local dealer sounds to ready to try and get Me to let Him send the complete bracelet away for repair. I only want to have the damn flip.

MY refurbished a jubilee band for me a few years ago. Took a few months, but his work was excellent.

Wow 175 miles!?! That's awesome! Insane! But really I love the design! It reminds me of warplanes! SFC Sergant first class?

Yes, retired.

As for the top end speed...I was limited to 175mph because of the rear end ratio. Other than that it was a BLAST like no other.

On a sidenote..this bike got me and my girl an all paid invitation to one of the Moto GP's at Leguna Seca or whatever they name it today. Yamaha Corporation wanted to have a photo shoot in the Race paddocks featuring this bike for their Star Calendar. Unfortunately for me I sold it 2 months before they contacted me.
