Hi all,

I'm curious if anyone knows whether RSC would still supply a MK7 type luminova replacement dial on a 1665 DRSD? My 1665 is currently sporting an older tritium replacement dial but with the white lettering. It sits in the correct seriel number for a double red.....just curious if anyone knows I can send it into RSC and request a double red MK7 replacement dial?? Thanks.

In Europe I think you can, but I don't think Rolex USA will do it......At least that's my understanding.......
I think you'd be better off trying to source a TRITIUM dial anyway.....

You could request it but doubt if you would get one as many original reds had there dials changed to white at normal service.

So would it be safe to say that all MK7 double red replacement dials came from RSC outside the US? Likewise for the MK6 & MK5?

More importantly, does anyone know how much I can possibly source a MK7 replacement dial here on the forum for?

From what I have read around this, is that if it's got a Red dial already fitted then they might relace it with a red service dial.

However what they won't do, is change the White service dial to a red.

Elliot,
My experience was if they have the dial in stock and you ask and the moon and the stars line up they will do it.Every RSC is different and it depends on the persons mood and willingness has been my experience. The key is if they have the dial in stock. Take the watch down the road to RSC NY and tell them what you want and wait in the lobby to get an answer.Thats what I would do.

The Rolex factory replacement "red" dials are easily distinguishable from the original issue that was installed when watch was new. Still would be a good find, but has an effect on overall value.

Just out of curiosity, and since I see Mask is selling the watch, what if you had a local watch maker remove the dial and hands, and then send to RSC and request appropriate dial and hand replacements. Since it is a red wouldn't they be more willing? I know it seems a little expensive, but considering I am currently begging my wife to let me in on this, and this watch will move today I am sure, I'd like to know becasue I'd need the funds for the watch and then the service.
