Love SB!
The Bacara is the truth! Love that hotel, need to go back soon. Eats? Depends what you are into... I love Palazzios. Almost like c&o in Los Angeles. Enjoy the beautiful beaches. |

If you're there on a Sunday, be sure to head over to the sidewalk that runs parallel to the beach just off of State St. There are many artists that sell there wares and you'll see some pretty unusual things.

I only studied at UCSB for 5 years, so I am familiar with cheaper food:
1. The Habit (go to the original store, a hole in the wall in old town Goleta) 2. Go to Isla Vista, the small college town next to UCSB, and find Freebird, be very hungry before you go, you'll thank me later.

I second Cold Springs Tavern. We were there this past Saturday. I enjoy lunch more than their dinner menu.
We also like Los Olivos for it's small town and wine tasting rooms and wineries. The Mrs and I got married at the Fess Parker. |

Grew up in Ventura so I know sb pretty well. I used to party in IV in high school, and theres a place called freebirds there which is really good. Also like everyone else says Cold Springs Tavern is a must.
