New to this forum and new to Rolex. I'm a big guy and enjoy wearing bigger watches - usually rotate my IWC AT 2000, Panerai 422 47mm and Breitling Bentley -and I've always wanted a Rolex, but felt they looked too small on my wrist - especially the Sub. However, I got bored of my IWC and traded in towards a new DDSD. I could not have made a better choice. Absolutely love it!!! Has anyone had any experience with their DDSD's accuracy; good or bad?

Thanks!

Welcome. Congrats on the DSSD! Pictures are a must :) Accuracy of the 3135 movement is great. Rolex currently claims -2/+2 secs per day on brand new watches. COSC certification is -4/+6 per day i think.

+1 second per day. I've checked it 1st of the month the past few months and that's about what it's been.

First Rolex

I just bought my first Rolex last week, and it was a DSSD D-Blue. I never gave Rolex much thought until I saw MY Rolex, and that was it, it had to be mine!

Joining the club. First brand new Rolex. First AD purchase (and at full retail no less). First ceramic.

Big shout out to all of you that posted on this thread and elsewhere in this forum. Your passion for this very modern, controversial and not traditional Rolex shines through. I love the early threads where the haters had such strong reactions. I love the part in this almost 80 page thread where the Deep Blue's first appear. Thank you, your pic's and stories informed and inspired me to join this forum and contribute.

Funny how we all took a different journey but ended up here in this "club." 30 years ago, broke and starving student, cant afford a Rolex. 20 years ago, choosing other great tool watches. 10 years ago, I will buy a Rolex someday in my lifetime and it will be a classic stainless Submariner. Now, the time has come, and the choice is...

No, but I play one on TV...

Black to D Blue

I've had the black in the past, now I'm enjoying the D Blue. The face color makes a lot of difference!
